Ingredients: (10 to 12 counts)
  1. Sorghum millet flour – 1 cup (200 grams)
  2. Jaggery – 1/2 cup (100 grams)
  3. Cardamom powder – 2 pinches
  4. Whole Roasted gram (Chick peas) – 2 teaspoons
  5. Sesame seeds – 1 teaspoons
  6. Water – 1/2 cup (100 ml)

  2. Jaggery – 1/2 cup (100 grams)
  3. Cardamom – 2 pinches
  4. Whole roasted gram (Chick peas) – 2 teaspoons
  5. Sesame or Coconut oil – 50 ml

Ingredients to make 10-12 Idlis:

To make batter:

  1. Sorghum – 1 cup (150 gms)
  2. Sorghum rice – 1/4 cup (50 gms)
  3. Ladies finger chopped – 1 cup (150 gms)
  4. Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 teaspoon


To mix with batter:

  1. Sprouted Groundnut / Peanut - 3 table spoons
  2. Grated Carrot - 3 table spoons
  3. Chopped Cabbage - 3 table spoons
  4. Rock salt - as per taste

To make dumplings:
  1. Sorghum (Jowar) flour– 200 grams
  2. Water – 200 ml
  3. Rock salt – 1 pinch

To Temper:
  1. Sesame / Gingelly oil – 1/2 teaspoon
  2. Mustard seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
  3. Urad dhal – 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  5. Dried Red chilly – 1
  6. Curry leaves – 1 spring
  7. Grated Coconut – 4 teaspoons
  8. Rock salt – As per taste

Ingredients:
  1. Kodo millet – 1 cup (150 gms)
  2. Water – 3 cups
  3. Chopped Carrot & butterbeans - 200 grams total
  4. Chopped Beetroot – 2 teaspoons
  5. Tomato – 2 medium sized
  6. Onion (big or small) – 1/2 cup
  7. Ginger & garlic paste – 1 1/2 teaspoons
  8. Coriander leaf – 1/2 cup 
  9. Pudhina leaves – 10 
  10. Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 2 teaspoons
  11. Green chilly – 1 no.
  12. Chilly powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  13. Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
  14. Rock salt – as required
  15. Cinnamon –1 inch piece
  16. Clove  – 3 nos.
  17. Bay leaf – 2
  18. Black stone flower – 1 teaspoon
  19. Biriyani masala powder – 1 teaspoon

  3. Water – 3 cups
  4. Vegetables – 4 to 5 types (total 200 grams)
  5. Tomato – 2 medium sized
  6. Sambar (small) Onion – few pieces
  7. Gingelly (Sesame) Oil – 1 tea spoon
  8. Mustard seeds - 1/4 tea spoon
  9. Cumin - 1/4 tea spoon
  10. Cashewnuts – 7 or 8
  11. Curry leaves – 1 spring
  12. Green chilly – 1 no.
  13. Asafoetida – 2 pinches
  14. Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
  15. Rock salt – as per taste
