Kodo millet Capsicum rice
Ingredients:
  1. Kodo millet – 1 cup (150 gms)
  2. Water – 2 or 2 1/2 cups
  3. Capsicum – 2 (chopped lengthwise)
  4. Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Cashewnut – 8 nos.
  7. Ghee or Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 1 teaspoon
  8. Turmeric powder – 2 pinches
  9. Coriander leaf – 2 teaspoons
  10. Rock salt - as per taste

Sorghum (Jowar) Vegetable biriyani
Vegetable biriyani using Sorghum (Jowar)

Ingredients:
  1. Kodo millet – 1 cup (150 gms)
  2. Water – 3 cups
  3. Chopped Carrot & butterbeans - 200 grams total
  4. Chopped Beetroot – 2 teaspoons
  5. Tomato – 2 medium sized
  6. Onion (big or small) – 1/2 cup
  7. Ginger & garlic paste – 1 1/2 teaspoons
  8. Coriander leaf – 1/2 cup 
  9. Pudhina leaves – 10 
  10. Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 2 teaspoons
  11. Green chilly – 1 no.
  12. Chilly powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  13. Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
  14. Rock salt – as required
  15. Cinnamon –1 inch piece
  16. Clove  – 3 nos.
  17. Bay leaf – 2
  18. Black stone flower – 1 teaspoon
  19. Biriyani masala powder – 1 teaspoon

Ingredients:

  1. Kodo millet – 1 cup (100 gms)
  2. Water – 2 1/2 cup
  3. Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 1 teaspoon
  4. Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Peanuts – 2 teaspoons
  6. Curry leaves – 1 spring
  7. Rock salt - as per taste

To dry roast & grind:

  1. Peanuts – 1/4 cup
  2. Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
  3. Dry red chilly – 2 nos.
  4. Sesame seeds – 1 teaspoon
  5. Coconut – 2 teaspoons (grated or sliced)

Ingredients:

  1. Kodo millet – 1 cup (100 gms)
  2. Water – 2 1/4 cups
  3. Cumin – 1/4 teaspoon
  4. Cashewnuts – 8 nos.
  5. Onion – 1 (chopped lengthwise)
  6. Brinjal – 150 gms (cut lengthwise)
  7. Rock salt – as per taste
  8. Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 3 teaspoons 
  9. Curry leaves – 1 spring

To dry roast & grind:

  1. Groundnut (peanut) – 2 teaspoons
  2. Channa dhal – 1 1/2 teaspoons
  3. Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
  4. Coriander seeds – 1 teaspoon
  5. Dry red chilly – 2 nos.
  6. Coconut – 2 teaspoons (grated or chopped)
  7. Asafoetida powder – 2 pinches
  8. Turmeric powder - 2 pinches

Ingredients:
  1. Kodo millet – 1 cup (100 gms)
  2. Toor dhal – 1/4 cup (30 gms)
  3. Water – 3 cups
  4. Vegetables – 4 to 5 types (total 200 grams)
  5. Tomato – 2 medium sized
  6. Sambar (small) Onion – few pieces
  7. Gingelly (Sesame) Oil – 1 tea spoon
  8. Mustard seeds - 1/4 tea spoon
  9. Cumin - 1/4 tea spoon
  10. Cashewnuts – 7 or 8
  11. Curry leaves – 1 spring
  12. Green chilly – 1 no.
  13. Asafoetida – 2 pinches
  14. Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
  15. Rock salt – as per taste
