Barnyard millet Raw Mango Rice

Ingredients (for 2 persons):
  1. Barnyard millet – 1 cup (150 grams)
  2. Water – 2 1/4 cups
  3. Raw mango – 1 (150 grams grated)
  4. Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
  5. Urad dal - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Bengal gram (Channa dal) – 1 teaspoon
  7. Ground nut - 2 teaspoons
  8. Dry red chilly - 1
  9. Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  10. Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
  11. Curry leaves – 2 springs
  12. Coriander (Cilantro) leaves – little quantity (chopped)
  13. Rock salt – as per taste

  1. Barnyard millet – 1 cup (150 grams)
  2. Water – 2 1/4 cups
  3. Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 2 teaspoons
  4. Clove – 2 nos.
  5. Bengal gram (Channa dal) – 1 teaspoon
  6. Onion – 1 (chopped lengthwise)
  7. Pepper – 8 nos.
  8. Curry leaves – 2 springs
  9. Coriander leaves – little quantity (chopped)
  10. Grated coconut – 1 cup (150 grams)
  11. Rock salt – as per taste

Ingredients:
  1. Foxtail millet – 1 cup (150 gms)
  2. Water – 2 1/2 cups
  3. Cauliflower florets – 1 cup (75 gms)
  4. Broccoli florets – 1 cup (75 gms)
  5. Green peas – 1/4 cup (25 gms)
  6. Tomato – 2 or 3 medium sized
  7. Cumin –  1/2 teaspoon
  8. Turmeric powder – 2 pinches
  9. Lemon – 1/2 piece
  10. Coriander leaves – 2 teaspoons
  11. Pudina leaves – 8 
  12. Ginger – 1/2 inch piece (grated)
  13. Pepper – 6 to 8 nos.
  14. Gingelly (Sesame) Oil – 2 teaspoon
  15. Bay leaf - 1
  16. Rock salt – as per taste

  2. Water – 2 or 2 1/2 cups
  3. Capsicum – 2 (chopped lengthwise)
  4. Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Cumin - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Cashewnut – 8 nos.
  7. Ghee or Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 1 teaspoon
  8. Turmeric powder – 2 pinches
  9. Coriander leaf – 2 teaspoons
  10. Rock salt - as per taste

Ingredients:
  1. Barnyard millet – 1 cup (150 gms)
  2. Water – 3 cups
  3. Tomato – 3 medium sized
  4. Onion (big or small) – 1/2 cup
  5. Ginger & garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
  6. Coriander leaf – 1/4 cup 
  7. Pudhina leaves – 6
  8. Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 2 teaspoons
  9. Mustard – 1/4 teaspoon
  10. Fennel  - 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Curry leaves – 1 spring
  12. Green chilly – 1 no.
  13. Chilly powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  14. Turmeric powder – 2 pinches
  15. Rock salt – as required
  16. Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
  17. Clove  – 3 nos.
  18. Bay leaf – 2
  19. Black stone flower – 1 teaspoon

Ingredients:

  1. Kodo millet – 1 cup (100 gms)
  2. Water – 2 1/2 cup
  3. Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 1 teaspoon
  4. Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Peanuts – 2 teaspoons
  6. Curry leaves – 1 spring
  7. Rock salt - as per taste

To dry roast & grind:

  1. Peanuts – 1/4 cup
  2. Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
  3. Dry red chilly – 2 nos.
  4. Sesame seeds – 1 teaspoon
  5. Coconut – 2 teaspoons (grated or sliced)

Ingredients:

  1. Kodo millet – 1 cup (100 gms)
  2. Water – 2 1/4 cups
  3. Cumin – 1/4 teaspoon
  4. Cashewnuts – 8 nos.
  5. Onion – 1 (chopped lengthwise)
  6. Brinjal – 150 gms (cut lengthwise)
  7. Rock salt – as per taste
  8. Gingelly (Sesame) oil – 3 teaspoons 
  9. Curry leaves – 1 spring

To dry roast & grind:

  1. Groundnut (peanut) – 2 teaspoons
  2. Channa dhal – 1 1/2 teaspoons
  3. Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
  4. Coriander seeds – 1 teaspoon
  5. Dry red chilly – 2 nos.
  6. Coconut – 2 teaspoons (grated or chopped)
  7. Asafoetida powder – 2 pinches
  8. Turmeric powder - 2 pinches
